I was at a local motocross meeting on the weekend and was asked if I could take a few photos for the club so they could put them on the web site and show the competitors who rode on the day. You can probably guess what my answer was.
So I went and got my camera and was thinking what kind of shots I could get. The weather was the worst it possibly could have been and the track was as muddy as. I thought I needed to capture something different from the usual which is a vertical photo of the rider with their leg out going around a corner. (usually taken with a long lens)
So I put on a wide lens (18-55) and trampled across the muddy tracks being roosted by mud. I started taking photos of the riders in action and was getting so annoyed with the sun popping in and out of the clouds, so I put the camera onto shutter priority and let it work out the light while I concentrate on not getting run over.
So the day was finished and overall the photos were pretty good. But the best thing was that they were different compared to the usual in a good way!
